review 1: This was a great mystery. did not see all that coming. This book had several mini stories under one cover. We have chris Shelby's husband coming to terms and truly accepting her new gift and in a sense falling more in love with her. shelby dealing with a missing person case, solving a bombing, protecting uncle Joey, gaining respect from others and dealing with her attraction to Ramos. Ramos being Shelby's protector and friend while dealing with his attraction to her. Uncle Joey and all his dealings and Billy and her story. what was fascinating is how some of these intertwined. I love Ramos. such a teddy bear for being a body guard. The growth we see in Chris is fantastic as well. You truly see his frustrations and love for Shelby. Uncle Joey was fun to be. He was another t... moreeddy bear with Shelby. He respected her abilities and her while caring and being protective. the main story of the missing woman was intriguing and you totally will not expect the outcome there.the characters draw you in and the stories mysteries and mini plots entrance you as you get deeper into this entrancing suspense/mystery story.
review 2: I loved "Deep in Death"! It may be Colleen's best book yet! I started it.... and finished it last night! I just couldn't put it down! It is a definite page turner and I loved every minute of it! This is definitely one I will read again and I'm so glad I got it. This book had an added twist to it that I really liked! Maybe Colleen will have this added dimension in books to come. It is so fun having a series that I enjoy. It's just hard waiting for the next book! I honestly had no idea what would happen next... another reason why I stayed up way too late to finish it. The sad part is that now I have to wait to read the next book. Luckily for me I am listening to "Secrets that Kill" and it is fun to hear that story again. Wendy does a great job narrating and I really love that book! "Secrets that Kill" is my favorite Shelby Nichols book, but after reading "Deep in Death" it may be tied for first place... At least until the next book comes out. We'll just have to wait and see! I really, truly enjoyed this book! It is a definite MUST READ!!!!! less
