review 1: I have to admit that this book left me heartbroken. It is well written and the author was very creative, however I won't give it 5 stars because of the next reasons:- I felt like the author rushed through the end of the story and there are many things that I would have enjoyed to read more about.- Kells undecisiveness over her romantic turmoil. She got on my nerves more than one time and I didn't see any growth romantically between her and the tigers (or as people)- That end killed me (literally!). I have always been team Ren, but what happened at the end broke my heart in a thousand pieces to the point that I haven't recovered.- I hated Durga in the last book. The author made her look weak and impotent compared to Kelsie, and of course whoever had all the gifts and weapon... mores can be a god/goddess. In my eyes she never earned to be a goddess. She just received the easy way out to become one. I had more respect towards Kelsie who suffered so much through the series and almost died more than once fulfilling Durga's wishes. I saw her as a selfish b**** since the author introduced her as a woman and after that ending, I felt Kelsie's pain and made me write her name in my black list. I think it was very unfair and if I were Kelsie, I will send Durga to a very horrible place with my language and never again to step in one her temples. I think the first two books were amazing... and the third one too. I hope the 5th book comes out soon. It seems the author takes her years to finish one.
review 2: I honestly tried after working through Tiger's Voyage, but this was just too much after listening to Kelsey whine about her insecurities about Ren and how much she wants to be with him but what about Kishan? I just wanted her to shut up, break up with Kishan, so at least he could find a real love and not some rebound love, and make Ren miserable for the rest of his days. Yeah Ren and Kelsey belong with each other, both are vapid and stupid and I really wish this story had been written where the boys could never be boys and avoid all this romance mess. *takes a breath* I actually had hopes for this series when I first discovered it, but now I regret putting money down for any of them except the second book. At least Kelsey's annoyingness was cut down to bearable in that one. less
