review 1: not sure how to rate this......Dominic is almost not salvageable as a human being.....he's does nothing that isn't mean or hurtful yet jacie falls in love with him? then again the jacie character isn't a winner either.....for whatever reason tho we are told what a sweet selfless person she is? the thing is that two warped characters seem to make a good couple....I think. this book feels VERY different from the last two. I bounced from feeling like this is really hot to yuck I don't get it.....thus 3 stars
review 2: I have a particular preference when it comes to what I look for in a heroine, especially when the Hero is a bad boy. I prefer it when the heroine is like Mila. Pax and Mila were the ultimate couple in my mind. Good vs. Bad, it just mak... morees for a great read. You have the ultimate bad boy "the dark" and the heroine that comes along and shines in "the light". Now, I realize that not all her female characters can be like this...it would be repetitive. I get it, I get it. This is all just my personal preference and I guess what I should have done is stop at Pax/Mila's story because the rest of this series just hasn't cut it for me. I haven't found a heroine in this series outside of Mila (and her sister) that I really like. less
