review 1: I am clearly a sucker for books written by bloggers. Usually I am disappointed but I am learning to have a different set of expectations for blog-inspired books like these.I actually found this book to be a nice little refresher on how to manage a busy life with kids while working from home. I already use Crystal's yearly and weekly goal setting formula and find that it works really well for me. I've actually encouraged others to give it a try since it's so customizable. I think it's important to have long term goals that are then worked on in little bites week by week. It's really helpful to know that each week you are doing little things to get you closer to a bigger goal. I'm glad I spent a few hours with this book. I am reminded that whatever it is I want for my life i... mores created every day in little baby steps, not in big occasional jumps. Discipline pays off in the long run while impulsiveness is a temporary cure for mediocrity and unhappiness.
review 2: I really wanted to like this book but it would be a lie if I said that I did. Her blog is great and I frequent it everyday but her lengthly writting just bored me. All tips seemed to be the same ones that you always hear about and they probably work but I wanted new ideas. What I did like about the book is that she brought0 up the lord and did not hide it from her book. To sum it up, you can find the same idea from bloggers all over the web for free. If you want to support her and like her style of writting then go for it. I receieved this copy to review for netgalley and my review is my own opinion. less
