Sebastian St. Cyr
review 1: Honestly, I never like History subject in school. But I was remarkably compelled with this historical fiction that I read it in one go. I particularly like the simplicity of the writing style of it, elegant but unpretentious. And how the storyline flows easily from one story to another, of how this motives connected to that case, another statements lead to another cause. Some would say that the plots can be confusing as it involves series of interrogations with many suspects with strong motives, what with Sebastian St. Cyr's personal life himself is a bit disarrayed when he discovered the secret of his real father and his baby that Ms Hero Jarvis is carrying, and murder attempts from his old enemy, all of that seems to be a bit too much but amazingly, it was well written e... morenough for me to actually enjoy it. A full five stars from me.
review 2: Harris continues to keep me in thrall! Sebastian St. Cyr finds himself involved in yet another murder investigation at the behest of his formidable great aunt Henrietta. In the process he discovers shocking facts about his own family background - facts that leave him both furious and relieved at the same time. The plot thickens as he becomes inextricably (sp?) tied to his nemesis Lord Jarvis' independent-minded daughter, Hero. As I put one of these mysteries down, I reach for the next one. Such fun! less
