review 1: If you don't like to laugh, then put this book down and walk away. If you only like boring books that will put you straight to sleep, then his isn't the book for you! It is crazy, zany, goofy, quirky, silly, weird, bizarre, and absolutely WONDERFUL!! The only problem I see with it is that you will probably want to stay up too late reading it and will get caught hiding under your covers reading by flashlight in an attempt to devour just one more hilarious chapter. This book has just become one of my all-time favorites for pure wackiness alone! In case you can't tell... I REALLY liked it! ;)
review 2: If you want to be totally entertained from from word to word, this is the book for you. The Cheeseman family is running from corporate villains, government spies, a
... moren all manner of evil people who are out to steal the LVR, the time travel machine created by Mr. Cheeseman and his late wife, Olivia who was killed by one of the spies. The reader follows the family as they escape always in the nick of time. I loved the family and all the folks they meet along the way who all play some roll in the story's climax. I plan to read this book to my 4th graders. I am looking forward to the next to books. The narrator, Cuthbert Soup, is a regular Dear Abby with all his unsolicited advice. less

Fun, easy read. Similar in writing style to The Series of Unfortunate Events.
