review 1: This book has a really positive message for kids reading it because all of the words have to do with positivism and living life to its fullest. Each page has new words and also images of other items that start with the letter in question. This can help children improve their recognition of items and learning of vocabulary. I had some trouble with the last page, though, because the letter z is used in "zzzleeping." I understand that zzzs are often used to describe sleeping, but it could be confusing for children who are learning how to spell since "sleeping" begins with an s, not a z.
review 2: Each letter of the alphabet has a cute, positive sentence surrounded by various pictures of items that start with the corresponding letter. I always loved these kinds... more of picture books because there was plenty to look at and discover, kind of like I-Spy or Where's Waldo? The illustrations are adorable and I think kids would have fun thinking of things they could add to a specific letter's page. This book could start plenty of fruitful conversations or lessons. less
