review 1: I liked the book and think it is more interesting to read on an electronic reader with internet so that you can look up some of the artwork and even some of the places. My only criticism is that it is too much like the others I have read by this author. And when he refers to the archeological digs in Jerusalem (featured prominently in another book) I'd like to know more about what is "real" and what is made up.
review 2: An art heist is moving along interestingly but predictably when, bam, Silva's story suddenly accelerates into a multi-faceted adventure that fascinates because of the quirky bantor among some characters and the intense research that propels the story. Thank goodness for fiction that allows a serious-minded author the platform to inform reader... mores about some current events that might otherwise remain hidden. less
