review 1: The father chicken is trying very hard to read a story to his son, but the little chicken keeps interrupting. This story takes you through a small part of a few classic stories such as little red riding hood. But the father can never get through because his son will end the story for him in another way. The illustrations are adorable. They provide a great way to visualize what is happening in the little chickens mind. Another great example of a family relationship and interactions between them. review 2: This fun and unusual story book begins with a little chicken getting ready for bed. She asks her Papa to read her a bed time story, promising not to interrupt and settl... moree down for bed. Throughout the story, little chicken changes the normal storyline of well-known stories by inserting herself into them to help save the main characters. The normal setting of this book, a house at bedtime, is changed slightly by the unusual main characters, chickens, but is still a story many children would find easily relateable. The full spread pictures throughout the book reinforce the chicken’s emotions, and the full pages depicting the insides of the current story being read help the reader imagine how the little chicken is interjecting herself into the story. This fun and interactive way of adding the chicken to stories gives the children reading them something to remember.The reaction of the chicken is also something that kids can easily relate to. It appeals to the love of known story characters that many hoped had a better ending. less
