review 1: Book 3 in the series. We are mostly back in Berkeley, but first stop in Oregon, where Sierra Brighton is a "forgotten witch". Once she is adopted by the Walker/Sullivan clan though, she'll have an instant family. This book is slightly darker than the first two, as Sierra is haunted by her mothers death. But there is nothing in these books that can't be solved by cookies and the power of love.I liked the introduction of Sierra and Devin to the character list, and loved the ending. Fans of the series will want to head straight for the novella that follows. I'm stopping here for now, but may pick up the series again when I need a good light read.
review 2: Good characterization, fun to read, as long as you can ignore that the weather experts mix up hurricanes
... more and tornadoes and tsunamis and storm surge.Another thing that bugged me was the projected death counts. They seemed extremely over inflated. Maybe this is because the author doesn't know the difference between tsunamis and storm surge. A few minutes of Google research seems to indicate the worst storm surge death count was 8,000 in Galveston, TX. Tsunamis can do a lot more damage, but they're caused by earthquakes, not storms.Give the weather witches a break. Tens of thousands are not going to die if they take a day off. less

Really enjoy this series - a bit fluffy, but certainly entertaining and enjoyable.

That was a fun story. Kind of a shame that the rest are all ebooks.
