review 1: The end of a series. The author has been very clear that changes in her life led her to choose to end this series. Unfortunately, this book isn't the best ending. It reads as a typical Witch Central book up to the epilogue, which is a very touching wrap up to the series. I appreciate the authors intent in giving the readers a new entry to the storyline, and at the same time giving closure. I wish there had been more build up within the novel to get to the resolution. Instead the ending is a good epilogue, but doesn't feel integral to the rest of the book.
review 2: I was sad because this was the last one. Totally get why - certainly if my life imploded, I would need to (and have) make changes. But still, sad for ME. These weren't great literary masterpieces b... moreut were generally well-written and thoughtful, simple and sweet. There was magic in how much people loved and respected one another. Witch Central is a lovely community and I loved being part of it. This one was a bit abrupt, hurried and there was an urgency to the closure - but 'happily ever after' wasn't necessarily guaranteed. I'll miss the stories and magic. less
