review 1: I usually shy away from any book that says "witch" in the title, but I have loved these books. I finished the first series and then started this one (which, if you haven't yet read the Modern Witch series, falls in between A Hidden Witch and A Reckless Witch). These are people/witches I want to know. The stories are interesting and the way they take care of each other is the way we should ALL take care of those we call our own.
review 2: I picked this book from the because it's fantasy and it was on Amazon Owner's Lending Library (and therefore free). I recommend that you borrow it from Amazon or your library. There is lots of ice cream. Lots of girl talk. I hate the label, "Chick Lit," but this is definitely chick lit. I can't see any guy being interested in
... more reading this. Honestly, I'm pretty sure there are many gals who wouldn't be interested in this, either. In a nutshell, there is a witch who thinks she is technically a witch but not really a witch. She enlists in a mentoring-type program, but little does she know that this program also mentors parolees. She's an uptight b-word in the beginning who, with the help of her new witch friends, becomes a warmer person who embraces her capabilities as a fire witch. This is a feel-good book that is quick to read. less
