review 1: Love this series. Yes, I know, I read a lot of series, but when you have great characters, you want to see what happens! Spoiler alert: the wedding DOES happen. Skye and Wally really do get married. That's all I'm saying on that. This story, like the others, has the same crazy cast of characters, the conflicts between the numerous family members still feeds the plot. Yes, the new characters introduced in the beginning figure quite prominently in the murder, but you aren't quite sure how until the very end.
review 2: I love Denise Swanson's writing. The week before Skye and Wally are to be married, the new librarian is murdered. Between the Christmas season, avoiding Skye's mother and trying to solve the murder Skye wasn't sure the wedding was going to co... moreme off. As always the characters of Scrumble River always make the mystery interesting. I love that Skye took everything in great style and helped to solve the murder of course, rather than become a Bridzilla. It was either help, or no wedding. Great plot twist along with the family get togethers. less
