review 1: This book was great! At first I planned on reading it for a school project, but the book was a little too inappropriate for my catholic school (you have to be a virgin to be a unicorn hunter). I decided to keep reading though. It may not be the best book, but it is definitely a book to read if you are into the supernatural stuff. This book has a lot of relatable situations (without the unicorns of course). I cannot wait to get my hands on the second book. This "Killer Unicorn" series has a little of everything: mystery, comedy, action, and the best of all... love! I highly recommend this to high schoolers and young adults who love supernatural books.
review 2: I read this book because it came with high praise from Scott Westerfeld and because I thought it was a... more duet and hence finished. I enjoyed both books (Rampant and the sequel Ascendent) but they do not form a duet but rather an incomplete trilogy. Had I known this I might have waited. I recommend waiting. Without a third book (will it even come?) the books are not satisfying at all. Should a third come out I'll certainly read it, hopefully remembering enough of the first two (that I do not deem worth re-reading), and I'll re-evaluate then. less
