review 1: Despite several attempts, I never read Persuasion but this book makes me want to get a copy and actually get on reading it.The narrative is descriptive of its surroundings and characters are given depth without drowning its readers to a bore. I like that balance the author gives in her prose.The way it was written gives the reader the chance to be there and really see what was happening. I think even a person with the littlest imagination will not have a hard time seeing the North Estate with the help of Diana's words.
review 2: Oh my goodness. Picking up this book, I didn't know what to expect. It wasn't until 2 weeks after starting the book that I found out that it was a retelling of Persuasion by Jane Austen. When I found out, everything made sense. It all c... morelicked. I found Persuasion to be frustrating but worth it at the end and that's how I feel about this book. I was going to only give this book 4 stars but as it went on it just got better and better and better.Rating: 5 out of 5 starsYouTube review to come :) less
