review 1: Now that I really liked! Highly entertaining coming-of-age story slash police/forensic procedural with one of the best-written (anti-)heroines I've encountered this year. Angel is a character you simply can't not like. She is charming and tough, her POV voice is easily as funny as Harry's in the Dresden Files and from the first moment it's clear: ONE BOOK IS NOT ENOUGH!Easy five stars for character development and dialogue. Oh wait, there's also a serial killer. And tomato soup. And oh, did I mention the zombies?Great cover art!
review 2: I didn't think that I would enjoy this book partly because it is part of a series. I finished the first book in 2 days and the second book in a day....absolutely love the story so far... I hope the next two books are just as g... moreood. This book seems to have a bit of everything...it's a little gross, kinda funny, has a little mystery and if you mix all that with creative imagination and white trash you get "my life as a white trash zombie". LOVE IT! less
