review 1: The Ladybug Farm series is among my favorites! This novella was a lovely Christmas read (even though this is mid- January). I always enjoy hearing from the talented three women of Ladybug Farm, Noah, Lori, Ida Mae, and the array of mishaps, animals, and challenges of keeping up a historic home and farm. I also love Derrick/Paul as I have read ahead the new books and have read them all but Vintage Ladybug Farm, which I have already started.I would encourage you to read all the books, even though each one could be a standalone; however, you will want to read them all! The author is so detailed with each setting, it makes me want to pull up a rocker and join the party! You will love the recipes as you laugh and cry with these family of friends and love ones in one of the... more most beautiful settings. The many quotes about being single and happy made me smile. I will definitely keep this one and re-read again at Christmas time! Would love to see a movie based on this series.
review 2: I always enjoy a diving into the lives of my three favorite women, but this book for me was somewhat lacking. I like the obstacles they always seem to encounter and how they manage to pull everything back together just in time. However, the improbability of the ending was well, a bit much. It pulled me away from the other stories and smacked of your typical cheesy Christmas miracle story, which to me was disappointing. I still enjoyed reading it and spending a Christmas with the girls. Not a bad read for a novella. less

This was a light, quick read. I liked it. I might read more in this series.
