review 1: I read Sugar Rush several months ago, and enjoyed it. When I was able to get Sweet Stuff recently, I expected pretty much the same reaction, but I found I really liked this one much better. I thought that the characters of Riley and Quinn were deeper and had both been through much more life experience than Baxter and Lani (not that I didn't like them, but the story felt more superficial to me).I loved the way that Riley took her time going into the relationship with Quinn and it wasn't the whole "love at first sight, let's get married" plot that so many of today's contemporary romances go to. She was burned in the past and didn't want to go there even though there was an attraction. And Quinn had his own issues that kept him from rushing too.I thought this book had a lo... moret of humor and wit to it as well - I love a book that's both funny and smart.I'm looking forward to getting to the next book in the series!
review 2: 4.5. I love love loved this one! Even more than the first. Quinn and Riley are just perfect together. I love the way they fit and made each other feel. He helped her learn to love again. She helped him learn to love for the first time. Riley is such a great character, too. I love her passion and enthusiasm for her job and the way she has adopted Sugarberry as her home. I like the way she lets go of her past and opens up to her new family and friends. She is real. She is not a skinny mini, she has curves and freckles and is a total klutz. And she has the awesome, loveable Brutus. Quinn is just YUM! I could gobble him up like one of those cupcakes! I enjoyed his being a writer and seeing how things would happen if life were a book but accepting the new and different way things actually happened. He didn't immediately discount Riley because she wasn't his normal type. He didn't shy away from his response to and desire for her even though he thought it could go nowhere. I loved that he always made sure she knew exactly how he felt. And the way he comes to love Brutus, too was adorable. His handsome good looks don't hurt either! It was a really sweet, cute, fun read. There was perfect emotion, humor and playfulness. And of course, cupcakes! It was a winning recipe all around! less

Not as good as the first in the series, just because the heroine is so awkward. Still pretty decent.

It was pretty good. All the intimacy was different from the first book, not in a bad way either.

Cute story. Love this series. In a past life I had to have been a baker.
