review 1: i didn't play the game and i don't intend to...... butthis book was awosome((Gaze upon me and see your doom!” she declared. “I am Darth Nyriss, Lord of the Sith. I am the conqueror of Drezzi, the destroyer of Melldia, and a member of the Dark Council!”Just then, Revan emerged from the cell. and he wore the red-and-gray mask, hiding his face.A dozen bolts of lightning sprang from Nyriss’s hand, s. Instead of leaping back into the cell to avoid the deadly attack, Revan stepped forward to intercept it.Both hands were held in front of him, his arms fully extended at shoulder height, his thumbs touching and his fingers splayed wide. He drew the bolts of lightning into his waiting grasp, channeling them away from their intended targets and absorbing their power.“I am ... moreRevan reborn,” he said to Nyriss. “And before me you are nothing.))that was maybe the seconed best scene i have meet this year
review 2: Coming from having played Knights of the Old Republic, and being a big fan of Star Wars in general, I can say that I thought this book was really well done. If you are new to the character of Revan, then this book would tend to make the reader very lost very quickly. Not a lot of Revan's backstory is explained and neither are the rest of the major characters in the book, save the main two antagonists. The events of the book are quite compelling in the Star Wars universe. The humanizing elements are well done, as well as the more action packed scenes. The tension is well handled and the ending left me speechless. All in all, this book really is a sequel to the video game and has some difficulty standing on it's own. If you have played the game, then this book is definitely your next step. less
