review 1: ... i prefer the Marvel movie-verse Rogers & Bucky, but this was still a good readNot quite sure what was goin on with THE CUBE subplot later (so we're gonna Green Goblin the RedSkull now? Dunno what else to call it)and reaaaaaaaaally didn't care for pages and pages of the usual token "zomg! Russians are bad, m'kay! have some WWII footage"but hey, all of 5 pages setting up Sin storyline next and a whole chapter on the tragedy of Jack Monroejust remember which continuity this belongs in: Avengers disbanded, Nick Fury still drawn with his "classic" face, (non Samuel L Jackson), Bucky been 'legit dead' for decades
review 2: I have come to the conclusion that I like the movie version of Captain America better than the comic book version.I read this hoping to get so
... moreme spoilers for future movies, and maybe learn something more about the Winter Soldier. Problem: the comic book storyline only VERY vaguely resembles the movies. There's a little of how Winter Soldier was made and his memory problems. The thing is, everyone immediately knows it was Bucky. The other thing is that this Bucky was a teenager when recruited to be Captain America's sidekick and basically was good at hand to hand combat. My major issue with comic book Steve is that this Captain America gets involved in some shady business, like collaborating with Russians who are torturing people, and serving up vigilante justice. Also, Cap has an ex-girlfriend. That is just mind-boggling to me. less

Still remains one of the best stories you'll ever read for the character.
