review 1: I had forgot what this book was about and checked it out from the library on my kindle when it became available. Overall I enjoyed the book - I am sure a lot of that is due to being involved in dog rescue myself. My one disappointment was the ending because I was hoping it was going to elaborate on Evie' s involvement with the "pibbles" which was not to be - so I felt that I was left hanging when I wanted the story to continue. I'd bet that many other dog lovers out there (more so those involved in rescue) will enjoy the story too.
review 2: A book about dogs!! Rescue dogs!! It's a dream come true, except it's boring. I tried so hard to like this book, but the characters and the story were just plain boring. I was more interested in Giant George than anyone
... more& you get the least about of information on him, so that was definitely a bummer. I would like to read at least one other book of Ellen Cooneys books, because I have read a lot of good reviews about her, but in my opinion this was not the best representation of her writing. less

contrived and did not hold my interest long enough to get past the half-way mark.
