review 1: I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved the first book and was so excited to read the second one. I honestly found myself skimming parts so that I could get to the part where he got over himself to accept that she was willing to be a part of his life. I really did enjoy these books, but I was looking for the good part of the book, cause I was just getting angry with him.

In the beginning I wondered if I could possibly like it as much as I did the first one. When things start going bad for Alex, I decided that no it was impossible for me to like this book as much as I did the first one. Who wants to ... morefall in love with this beautiful amazing couple only to read the second book and find things going so downhill so fast. But, I was wrong. This book is as great as the first one. Even more so. Towards the end this book put me in mind of another great story, It's A Wonderful Life. I don't know if the author was even aware of the likeness as she was writing it but I wanted to point it out because it also is an amazing story which made this one even better for me. The first book centers on Madison and her life and her feelings. The second book centers on Alex and his perspective. It was very interesting to know that the cool, dark, dangerous boy had just as many insecurities as she did. It was wonderful to watch him work his way through them and learn to overcome the many challenges that life has thrown his way. The boy who started out with no one in fact finds that he has more people on his side than he could ever have imagined. I really and truly loved reading this book. Congratulations to the author for writing such a powerful story and for giving us some insight into a disability that is a mystery to anyone who doesn't deal with it directly. I am honored to have been able to read this story and I will recommend it to anyone and everyone. less
