review 1: I would call this book a mystery with a science fiction background. Jeff Vaughn is a telepath who works at Bengal Station, a spaceport in the Pacific Ocean. He is haunted by a tragedy in his past that is not revealed until the end of the book. He gets involved in a case involving a religious cult, smuggled drugs and murder.
