review 1: A Yeti captures a young girl and brings her to his home in a tranquil valley to help raise his three baby yetis. Some time passes and the Yetis are no longer safe in their valley so the girl, now an old woman finds a way to send them to her family home in England. As you might imagine, the journey is filled with mishaps and even when they do make it to England, well, much time has passed and the family home isn't what it once was. But yetis are very special creatures and some determined children find a way to save them. This would make a great family read aloud.
review 2: This is the delightful story of a young child who accompanies her father on trip in the Himalayas looking for rare and unknown plants. While there young Lady Agatha is kidnapped by a large Yet... morei (abominable)because he needed someone to care for his young family. We learn all about these creatures and how they are helped when civilization starts to invade their peaceful existence. This is the authors final book and she had a wonderful gift of storytelling. less
