review 1: I received the book, Sneak, in exchange for writing an honest review. The second in the series, it continues the story of Logan Langly. A boy who has escaped the Mark and joined a group of Markless called the Dust. He works to discover where his sister, Lily, has disappeared to years before. When he finds she's in a prison called Acheron, he starts the adventure with his friends that will help him to recover her.Not having read the first in the series, the book was still a very good read. The series is aimed at middle school aged readers and up. It does utilize some Christian references to help explain the way Logan processes his struggles. The story line following many of those from the book of Revelations.
review 2: The scariest thing about the Swipe series i
... mores that it doesn't sound all that impossible. A lot of the technology sounds like where we are headed: touch screen, linking to the human body, paperless, etc. And the governmental aspects may seem a little overboard to some, but I don't think it's as out of this world as it may sound. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as much as if not more than the first one. The use of multiple perspectives, although it may be jarring at times to suddenly switch out of a thick and intense moment to a new place, emphasizes that the events in the book are not about just one or two people - they're about everybody. less
