review 1: Something about Storm didn't have quite the appeal that the other books did. The story seemed to be a bit convoluted, especially considering everybody's intentions. The ending especially put me off. It is rather open-ended, vague, and almost even random. After three books, the ending seemed like it should reveal the direction that it was all going in, but it didn't really. It left about as many questions and twisted tangles in the plot as the rest of the story did. I suppose that sometimes a story has to be true to reality and not end up the way one yearns for it to, but the ending of Storm missed the mark in my eyes. For those who don't mind an unsatisfying ending, I suppose that this book is for you more than anyone.
review 2: I didn't care for this in
... morestallment as much as the first two. The ending kind of fell apart for me, I didn't really get it. Loved the idea of the control of the weather, I totally can see that happening in the future at some point. Not as much of a Christian message in this book, and I thought all of the mentions of Swipe were a bit self-serving--is the author making it out to be a kind of Bible? Overall though, this is a decent end-times novel for kids. less
