review 1: My kind of space adventure. I got hooked on those Jack Campbell books, and this scratches that itch.I did read in some reviews that early editions had some editing problems. I used the one from Audible, and I couldn't tell any major problems with this. The narrator did a fine job and differentiated well with character voices, and there were many different characters.I'm chomping at the bit to listen to the next 3 in the series.
review 2: I try to get to all the genres, but scifi is probably my least read, and space travel the least read of the scifi genre. That said, I found this novel to be fairly entertaining. ... moreflict. It was obvious us Earthlings would win from the start. Other than these two complaints, I liked it. The militaristic atmosphere seemed realistic and the author used a lot ofmilitary and pilot jargon, which improved the believability of the story. less
