review 1: The start of a new series by Felicity Heaton and what a start. Apollyon is still faithfully doing his duty and yet wants to be free from 'the fires of hell' and feel the sun on his wings again. Serenity has had a bad break up from her cheating boyfriend and wants revenge, she wants him to feel as bad as she does. Both her heart and her words call out and Apollyon answers. I've got to say that if I was looking for revenge on an ex in this way then I would certainly hope for someone like Apollyon to drop into my life!This is only a novella so the storyline is fast paced so that everything is in place before it finishes. I can see this series being another hit for Felicity Heaton and am looking forward to reading more.
review 2: This was a short, sweet, and sexy s... moretory about an angel called from guarding the bottomless pit of Hell by a witch who wanted revenge on her ex. The Angel, Apollyon, has watched the woman for years, not realizing how deep his feelings ran for her. When she calls him, he's compelled to answer and be bound to her until her revenge is fulfilled. Serenity is a witch, which is why she was able to call Apollyon in the first place. But once he finds her, she realizes that there's more to this dark angel than meets the eye. What follows is a quick and satisfying read with plenty of hot sex and some sweet romantic moments. We're treated to both Apollyon's and Serenity's inner thoughts through well done point-of-view shifts (per chapter) and so we get to know both of them on a deep, personal level. I'll be picking up more of this series. less
