review 1: ~ First Reviewed 2011 ~*** May contain Spoilers ***Annelie owns and works in a bar. For the past three years she has pined after one of her regulars - the gorgeous Lukas. When Lukas disappears for three weeks and then turns up drunk at the bar Annelie worries about him, and closing up takes him home. Once there Lukas tells her how he feels about her and they fall into his bed. Annelie can't believe her luck, Lukas has wanted her as much as she has wanted him, and her heart sores. That is until she discovers a shocking truth about him and her world is turned upside down. I'm not sure how I feel about Annelie, she's a sweet woman. And obviously loves Lukas, but there's something about her that bothers me. Maybe I'm just biased because I'm in love with Lukas and she has him.L... moreukas has been banished from the Heavens as part of a punishment that is not truly his. He was the only survivor of an explosion which killed human and angel alike, and his loyalty was then questioned. His life has been filled with a feeling of loss and despair, but when Annelie admits her feeling for him and encourages Lukas to prove his innocence he feels hope once more. Taking her to Paris they seek an old friend who has the ability to clear his name, and as his desire and love for Annelie grows he fears that he may lose her forever and have to return home. I love, love, LOVE this man. He is so goddamn yummy!! The way he is with Annelie makes me melt every time I read this book. He's amazing!!I really loved this book!! It gave me a good helping of loving and action. I really enjoyed the first few chapters when Lukas and Annelie fell into bed together, she freaked out on discovering his secret, and then they worried over the feelings they had for each other - fear of rejection is a terrible thing. Anywho, I must say that the love scene in this book was HOT!! I loved every second of it. Loved Lukas's reactions to it all, he made me melt repeatedly in this book. Damn!! I also loved the last few chapters of the book too. All that action was great, had me at the end of my seat. Why not run out and grab a copy of this amazing book. You'll enjoy it. I promise!! And remember - Lukas is mine!!
review 2: This is the story of Lukas and Annelie. Book 2 in the Angel Series.Lukas is an Angel and has been thrown out of Heaven for a crime he did not commit and now resides on Earth as a Mortal.Annelie owns and runs a Bar and has the "Hot's" for Lukas who she hasn't seen for a while and it seems like he may have disappeared??(or has he)!!The Road ahead for these two getting together is quite lovely, Heart Meltingly warm and Passionate this is a sweet Love Romance, but there is also a lot of Action, and plenty more Hot Angels in this book, but you will definitely fall in love with Lukas ( he is one Hot Angel) A Sexy Romance with troubles along the way, that's what makes this book a fantastic read. I really loved this story, but then again I knew I would as its written by Felicity Heaton and I tend to love all her books, there are quite a few in the Angel Series and you get to meet up with all the other Hunky Angels and their stories.Another great book. less
