Chronicles of the Necromancer
review 1: I very much enjoyed the fourth installment in this excellent series. I think of the four, not my favourite one, but enough magic, wars, vampires, werewolves, intrigue, etc to make it a great book to draw things to a calm point in the lives of Tris, Kiara and the others in the Winter Kingdoms. The trials for them all continue, and the battles are fought on all fronts, by all the main characters and the book continues at a fast pace throughout, seeing them all fight their own fights and try to overcome their troubles as they try to hold together the fragile alliances and peace they've worked and fought so hard for.Well worth a read for fans on fantasy and if you haven't read the first three, it's definitely worth reading them first - the story is great throughout and you m... moreiss out on a lot by not reading them first.
review 2: I will start out by saying that I really like Gail Z. Martin. I think she's a fine author. I liked this book. All that being said, I think the Necromancer series could've been a trilogy versus four books. I was rooting for Tris and everyone else all along the way, but by the end of Book 3, I was just really tired of bad stuff happening to these folks. Four books seemed like a long time to wait for a happily ever after. less

Pretty decent job of bringing the series to a close. I would definitely read Martin in future.

A good read, but somehow, again, its not the main character that make it so.
