review 1: This book started off well and had some great ideas, but the plot started falling apart about midway and fell apart completely toward the end. Much of what the characters do doesn't make sense logically. Why would a guy who is desperate to see if his wife and child are still alive ten years later help a fling from years ago, putting himself in grave danger, just because she asked him? There are simply too many character, and plot, inconsistencies in this book. It's a shame because Mr. Gibson has some wonderful ideas. Unfortunately, great concepts can only take a book so far.
