review 1: I have a new vampire BBF and his name is Victor McKell. We've met McKell, the vampire warrior, in the previous book, Seduce the Darkness. He fancied himself in love with Brde, Devyn's woman. In this part, he meets his match. Ava is crazy, badass and she actually reminds me of myself. I found a few traits of myself in her. So of course that I claim McKell's sexy and perfect tush. This one continues the storyline of the previous book, with the Schon disease and the Schon queen coming to Earth, wanting to infect everyone and take over. Of course they find a way to prevent that. And that, with the help of someone I never expected to exist!True, there aren't many hot scenes in this one but oh, the few that are... hoo-boy! McKell's hips don't lie, h... moreee hee.So yeah, as frustrating and annoying as these two characters were, with their back-and-forth and all, I still loved it and still give it a 4 1/2 - 5 stars. Some things from the next book were hinted at in this one so, I'm jumping into that.

There was so much action when the book started and ended I didn't think that Gena Showalter was going to write a book about Mckell so it was shocking when she did and the book was awesome! I loved every bit of the book. I actually read it all night and then fell asleep and woke up the next morning and read it tell I finished. Her books are books you just don't put down! I loved how McKell was trying to replace Ava the whole time and I was sitting here like just come on can't you guys just be together for once so I don't have to wait until the good stuff happened. The book was just really good and I liked how everything was put in the book and how everything played out. I loved it and I can't wait for the next book to come to my door step! less
