review 1: The beginning is too much 'Wo is me" and I really didn't like Paris. And honestly I stopped and started this book many times. I just couldn't get into it. One night after I finally got 50% in I realized why I couldn't get into it, It is clear Gena S hates the main character, Paris. I realized I dislike him so I didn't want him to get anything he wanted. Once I realized that I was able to get through it because I went back to the Paris I first met in the Angels series and the one at the beginning of the series. Sadly this is the end of me buying any more of her books in this series. I understand from other posting she has made a life change and that is great, but maybe she should have ended the series with the change. Frankly, an author shouldn't hate her characters.The... more book ended well and I was happy about that. I'm glad Paris got his happy ending, course I don't believe it because frankly the author made me dislike him so in the first part of the part, I had a hard time reconciling my feelings but Sienna was worth saving, but based on the authors feelings I see him going the path of Rena.
review 2: Despite its flaws (bloat, seriously aggravating new minor characters, yada, yada, yada), this remains one of my favorite LotU books. Paris and Sienna really work for me as a couple. I'm happy to see them get their HEA. More than that, they get a fresh start and a chance to heal. Good stuff. Yeah, Paris's arc dragged on years longer than it should have, but, for me, this was a satisfying ending. less
