review 1: I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVED this series. I enjoyed book 2 just as much, if not more than the first book. I loved the plot of Twice as Hot. I was emotional within the first two chapters, and by emotional I mean I wanted to punch one of the characters I was so mad, and I also had to fight to keep the tears in check. I didn't expect to be so emotionally invested in this book, so that was a pleasant surprise. What I just can't believe is that I haven't heard all that much about these books. I know they are somewhat older now, but they are SO worth the read. I HIGHLY recommend this series for fans of Paranormal Romance--and don't let the covers sway you--I thought these were YA paranormal novels, but they are smokin hot adult reads. Not erotic...adult. I will be rereading this... more series again.
review 2: I had a hard time with the beginning of his one. The first 1/4 was boring, it didn't really keep my attention. I had a hard time with the very end too. It seemed to go on a little longer than it should have. I ended up just skimming the last few chapters. In the end, this was an alright story.Questions/Comments:I found it kinda strange how Belle used her powers. Like how easily it was for her to suddenly start thinking of her friends being tortured or whatever, to get her fear going=ice.Before Memory Man took Rome's memories of Belle, how had he known about her? I never got that part. How was Sherridan allowed to go on missions when she was just a regular person? How were they able to drive so long after the car crash scene, when they had a flat tire? And not like just a regular flat, but a bullet hole flat?I assumed the people on the cover of the book were suppose to be Rome and Belle? Common sense I guess....yet, Rome is described as always being really tall, 'having to look, up, up' and big. The guy in the cover is neither!How old is Sherridan suppose to be? I get Belle wants to protect her friends and all but she was a bit much when she found out that Sherridan and Cody had slept together. She really needed to mind her own business there. Sherridan was an adult, albeit, a weird strange one with her 'happy place', but whatever. Strange, that her going to her happy place only happened at the beginning. I'm surprised she didn't do that when she had been captured. Obviously there will be more books in this series. I started with book 2. With that said, hopefully there's one for Jean-Luc, I felt really bad for him. less
