review 1: After having their happy ever after in the first book-n the sequel starts off immediately with having the hero losing his memory and going back to his asshole of an ex. The heroine must slowly but surely remind him what they had and what they still have. I loved the heroine. She was funny without being obnoxious. And you could really feel the pain of having her love not remember her. I hated Lexis and was soooo happy to read the part when she got beat up.
review 2: Such an amazing end to this duology. Rome and Belle were better than ever. Finally Belle decided she actually wanted to be an agent and help capture the bad guys. Not to help Rome and his daughter but because she really felt like helping make a better world. At the wedding, when everyone suddenly gasp
... moreed and looked to the entrance...I kinda expected some bad guy to be there trying to kill her again. Fortunately it was only Jean-Luc. I liked him a lot and was sorry to see him hurting but I gotta say I would never wish Belle to leave Rome. I hope he really does have a future with Lexi. Not that I particularly like her. She seems way to manipulative for me to harbour any good feelings for her.I wish Cody and Sherridan are happy and he never hurts her. She deserves it so much! I pity her past and can only cheer for her happiness with Cody.Tanner and Elaine were kind of obvious since they met. Glad they were finally able to surpass her powers and touch each other. Glad Tanner finally lost his virginity! Most part of this book was passed on edge. Always anxious and afraid something would happen and make things worse but overall it was perfect. The story arc built an appropriate feeling of anticipation for the amazing ending. Rome's memory loss was heart-breaking but ultimately proved everyone Belle and Rome really are meant to be together. It also assuaged her doubts about being the only one for him. Finally. less

This book was better than the first novel in the series. Granted, it still had all the weird and totally ditzy internal dialogue side-bar crap I hated about the first one, but there was less of it. I certainly like how the plot was written, better, in this book, too. The idea that Rome forgot all about Belle when his memories were stolen and thus was assuming he was still with his ex tugged on my heart strings. It was easy to sympathize with Belle. It became easy to dislike Lexis, the ex. It was easy to root for Belle as Roman became attracted to her again, and started to decide he didn't care if he could remember her or not; he wanted her anyway and wanted to get to know her again. If the author would quit with the off-the-wall slang with the corny dialogue and informal to the point of teenager-like writing, I might actually enjoy her books. I'd also like to see a little less withholding of the sex, too. It seems like she drags out the tension TOO long (although she is masterful at making hot and steamy tension; props for that), so that the first sex scene is like in the last 1/3rd of the book. That's frustrating.

I freaking L-O-V-E-D it!!!The second book and from what I have read and seen "final book" in the Tales of an Extraordinary Girl series was an amazing 5 star read for me. No surprise there though because Ms. Showalter always exceeds my expectations. This book continues almost where the first book left off and starts with a big bang and doesn't stop! This book about became the death of me. Seriously. I wanted to kill Rome's ex-wife just as much as Belle did. What a back stabbing awful bitch. (Sorry, just had to get that out there!) I read this one in one sit-down (just like the first) and I didn't stop until the very last page. Let me say, if you haven't read this series then you should because you are 100% missing out! I love everything about this story, the characters, and their awesome "powers". I am really upset and sad to see it go. Ms. Showalter should definitely write more of this series... they are so addicting! I would highly recommend them!

Loved this series. I'm hoping Miss Showalter will write a little more of Wonder Girl and her CatMan.
