review 1: So it begins again, another rejected storyline becomes a long and protracted 3 part graphic novel. Wait let me clarify.. the story isn't long and protracted on the contrary it's actually pretty fricking short. So short you're going to get upset when you realize you'll be waiting for months on end for the next part to come out... especially with this issues "cliffhanger". ARG! Wait I think "issue" should be in quotes too. The only reason the read dates aren't one day is because I was at work.. and exhausted, if I were more fully awake and alert I would've burn through this in about oh 10 minutes. This is so unfair. I mean I want it so bad and yet I'd like it if they stopped toying with us too. Much like Azula with Sokka's boomerang...
review 2: Another adventure
... more that picks up from The Promise. Aang, Katara and Sokka join Zuko and his sister Azula on their search for their mother, Ursa, who had been banished years ago. The secret of Ursa is slowly revealed in the middle of Zuko and Azula's journey provides some very interesting insight into the mysterious Ursa, but not everything is revealed to keep your interest for the next book. There's also a very interesting revelation that leaves you drooling for Part 2 that won't be released until July 23. The art is beautiful and I really enjoy how these characters have grown yet still maintain the personalities fans are used to from the TV series. A big thumbs up and a good start to this new series. less
