review 1: I think I bought this the same day I got my first iPad, and just today finished reading it. I had read the first three Ice & Fire books in paperbacks before, but quit after Storm of Swords. I'm glad I gave it another chance after watching the show, because I am hooked all over again. I'll rate each book individually:A Game of Thrones: 5 stars. Awesome. Read it in three days the first time, and will reread it often. A gripping tale of intrigue and murder.A Clash of Kings: 4 stars. Nearly as good as the first one. The story is still interesting, we get introduced to some new characters, and they're mostly great.A Storm of Swords: 2 stars. Remember how by the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie, the magic was gone, the movie was like two hours longer than it needed to be, an... mored there was so much ridiculous BS going on that you couldn't make sense of it all? This is that movie in book form, except they kill Jack Sparrow and all his friends near the end.A Feast For Crows: 3 stars. Kind of like watching Transformers G1 post The Movie, where the new characters we got were pale shadows of the ones we knew and loved. They're still fun to watch, though.
review 2: At first when I was at the beginning of the first novel I really didn't like it. Innocent animals were slaughtered. And young girls were giving away as bride to make peace. After my sister encouraged me to keep reading. I slowly began to attached characters like Dany, Arya, Sansa and Tyrion. and many others. The ending of the first novel was shocking for me. With the second novel I couldn't stop Reading. In the third novel happend alot. At the moment I throught this is the most elited one. The fourth book was a little less elited to read. But the reason was that for me my favorite characters were not in it.I can't waait to read further in the Dance With Dragons. less
