review 1: I wanted to read something Christmas theme around Christmas time. I've seen this book in the library but never took it. This time I thought I'll give it a try. And I'm glad I did. I think it was perfect book to read. It was something I was looking for. It was sweet and sad, it was touching, and it had important thoughts about life. I enjoyed it a lot. I'm just hoping I wild find something like this next time I'll be in a mood for Christmas stories.
review 2: I read this book because it was recommended by my father. A lot of people tried to get me to put it down or stop reading it because he was a Mormon and I am a Christian. To be frank, this story has little to do with faith or anything of a religious nature. It was about a poor boy who took what he had for
... more granted. The boy's father died of Cancer and later in the story his mother dies too and he blames himself for what happened and not loving his mother enough. You see this boy struggle with life as he goes to live with his grandparents and realizes how good his life was and how his selfishness led to his mother's death. Through this story he learns so much and learns what is truly important in life. Rather than ruin this for anyone that loves a good story know that 1. I cried reading it. 2. It's ending is great. So can't spoil it, you must read it yourself! :) Have fun with this one! Read it around the Christmas season to your family. I did. I might have to do it again! less
