review 1: Oddly satisfying edgy suspenseful while looking at family life and relationships...all suggesting-defending the reality of a parralel time slowed "fairy" world. They don't like being called fairies. They are intellectual libidenous beautiful and vaguely malovelent. Back in the real world...what is real. Love.psychology. time passing and the arrested developments of loss. A weirdly entertaining and engaging story with excellent references to Betthelheim, Fairy possession accounts, Shakespeare and other chapter prefaces that ground the tale in historical precedence.
review 2: This was a pretty little story and I enjoyed it but it wasn't the best thing I have ever read. I like the idea of this story but perhaps would have liked to have found out more about Tara'... mores time away as the land she visited was not what I expected. I had a hard time getting involved or believing in Tara's family relationships and the side story with Tara's nephew and cat were a bit distracting. All in all it was a nice story to read but not one I would be desperate to go back to less
