review 1: At about the halfway point, I was uncertain about this. I liked the plot and the secondary characters, but the style was beginning to annoy me. Every time the point of view changed, the story would "overlap" a little and you'd get a repeat of a previous scene, just from another character's POV. Then it sunk in. As the plot involves "time jumps" Guy Adams was using this literary device to add to the fun! (At first I worried he was just padding things...sometimes it takes a while for things to sink into my thick skull!) There were some brilliant scenes here, and Adams has a great way with words. A few passages seemed overwritten for me, but that's a minor quibble. I LOVED Alexander. What a great addition (if temporary) to the Torchwood team!

... more while since I've read any of the books in the Torchwood series-mainly because I can't find them in the bookstores anymore-thank God for the kindle editions! This one was a great addition to the book series. Loved the story-so cleverly thought out and well executed. I'm constantly amazed at how well this whole series depicts such well known characters, keeps them real to the tv show and its situations, while having numerous authors-it's pretty damn awe inspiring that all the books that I've read, read as though written by the same person. Can't wait to move on to some of the others that I've discovered in the kindle edition! It's great to be visiting with the Torchwood gang again! less
