review 1: I'm not really sure what the target audience for this book is...I guess small businesses? It is definitely too basic for a anything large-scale. I didn't find much in that I could use personally but there were some good insights. The numbering of the tips make theme really easy to read though some are repeated and some are just bizarre ("Be Multilingual", ok sure, let me just go learn Russian and get back to this tweet after. I realize the intention but it's not really an easy tip.)I think the ebook is probably the better bet since you can activate the links though the physical book is a small enough size that I could hold it in one hand and google the links with the other.The social medias sites covered are very few. Kawasaki has a great love for Google+ it seems since he... more has a lot of followers there and then there is a smattering of Facebook (which he says he can't really figure out the optimization of posts there), Pinterest and Twitter. And of course the too companies he is involved with, those keep popping up.All in all, I'm sure there are better social media how-to books out there that give more info and probably worth your money if you are serious enough to want to buy a book about it. This reads easily but doesn't say much.
review 2: I am a big fan of Guy Kawasaki and have read his other books.Getting 1,700 likes or retweets sounds doable (if you are Guy Kawasaki or Ashton Kutcher). In "The Art of Social Media" the authors prove that they can achieve 1,700 likes. Can mere mortals do the same?I was blown away by how easy the author made the daunting task of social media management. I am going to try their many tricks and tips. Here is to 1,700 likes and retweets! less
