Attack on Titan
review 1: Summary: As the female titan chases the 104th squad through the forest of giant trees, a well setup plan comes into action as the rest of the survey corps captures the intelligent titan in a complicated array of firing string shots, immobilizing said titan, in an attempt to find the inevitable character within its neck. However, like many of its kind, this titan-shifter as they are referred to by the public, has extra abilities, this one in specific has a crystallized shield in which she can summon and disperse on command, she obviously uses this ability to her advantage, shielding the nape of her neck with her hands, to keep from revealing her true identity. It then cuts to right outside the forest, Armin and Jean are talking when they see a titan learn to climb, somethin... moreg that seemed trivial at the time but had the terrifying realization that titans could learn. Back on the inside of the forest, Levi and his comrades attempt to break the barrier between them and the female titans identity, with various weapons and attack (one of which is Levi's famous spin attack) however the attempts are futile and they resort to a few moments of thought, while Levi has a talk with the girl inside the titan saying how she should just come out now, however, she reacts yet again, with a screech of epic proportions, attracting all titans within the hearing vicinity, due to the fact that she is still a human, they all attack her body, devouring it in seconds, giving the human within the body time to escape and continue her plan. As the news that the female titan has be freed is quickly spread to the 104th squad, they get on the move, Eren unknowingly spotting the mystery person as they fly through the forest attempting to escape. Only when the person exits erens view then transforms into the titan does Eren realize he could've eradicated the problem immediately, he quickly forgets this and continues on with the group trying to outrun the titan. However, many of the people in the 104th squad are killed, this includes Petra, oluo, erd, and Gunther, leaving behind just eren and Levi as they try to escape. After his comrades death, Eren is (like usual, i mean dear god,) filled with rage, and he transforms into a titan, attacking the female titan with ferocity, however, he is not strong enough and the female titan achieves her goal, kidnapping him. Mikasa sees this, following after the titan followed herself by Levi, and they rescue him. He sustained injuries and is found unconscious, so they keep him in one of the few remaining cargo carriages as they head back to the walls. But the fight isn't over yet, as they're running, two soldiers begin to panic as they realize their friends body has fallen off the cart, and go to get it, in the process they manage to attract even more titans, which causes the rest of the squad to resort to throwing the bodies of the scavenged dead off the carts, and they make their escape beck to wall rose where they are greeted by hundreds of civilians excited to see their own heroes (or most of them) back and safe in the walls, its around this point that we see eren break down and begin to cry as he sees a brother and sister, both clearly excited about the corps, who greatly resembled he and Mikasa a great while ago, thus ending the book, and this part of their story.Recommendation: YES! OH GOd YES! READ IT! Its a tear jerker to anyone with any sort of emotion as you witness, even minor characters cut off one by one, catches your breath as you witness the titans close in on our favored heroes, and it stops your heart with its suspenseful 'to be continued..' at the end of the book, as you place it down, pages clearly stretched and possibly damp from the tears you were unaware you'd shed, as you stare at a wall across from you wide-eyed, shoulders shuddering from the recent traumatization, if you dont consider it to be a good well written book from that description, then I dont know what is.Interview With Eren Jaeger:Me: So, Mr.Jaeger, first and formost, id like to say thank you for taking time out of your bust schedule to talk with me today,Eren: No problem miss Ringer*I nod in acknowledgment*Me: Okay, lets start with the questions*clears throat*Me: Mr.Jaeger, what is it like to be an active member within the survey corps?Eren: Its, not what I thought it would be,...Me: How so?Eren: Well, at first, I thought it was a big group of people who were fighting to save the human race and to eradicate titans, killing them left and right, everyone I assumed was the bravest of the brave, strongest of the strong, but in the end, it was just a group of people who constantly play poker with death while he has a royal flushMe: Wow, an extreme way to put it, onto the next questionMe: What was it like to travel outside of wall rose for your first mission?Eren: At first, exciting, I thought that nothing could beat us, that the formation would protect us from any titans comig our way, when actually, the death toll was higher than triple my age, after the female titan broke through it, Me: I believe we all mourn the death of your brave and courageous comrades, they were good people,*Eren nods, visibly tearing up a bit*Me: We can stop at anytime if you dont feel comfortable answering any more questions,*He wipes any tears out of his eyes sniffing quietly*Eren: No, No, we can continue,Me: Okay, I only have a few left anywaysMe: What was it like to see all of your comrades die?*Eren's eyes grow wide and he visibly tenses*Eren: W-well, it made me feel helpless, like I was weak and pointless, because these veterans hadn't made it through the forest, so, how could I? I was, powerless.Me: Oh my, that sounds dreadfulMe: Two more questions and then we'll be done, Me: How is Levi handling the death of his squad?Eren: Well, he may not look it, but his shoulders slump, hes even quieter than before, hes almost pitiful, he seems to be cutting himself off a bit, you can tell that he misses them, especially Petra, if im correct, she was only a year or two older than me, its a depressing sight,Me: Mhmm, unfortunate, alright, last question, has commander Erwin begun to plan another retreat to retrieve wall Maria?*Eren shakes his head*Eren: No, not currently if Im right, but knowing him for the time that I have, he'll probably start soon, *Eren finishes his sentence with a grin*Me: Iconic words, thank you for being here with us tonight, Eren, enjoy your trip home,*Eren stands up, exiting the right side of the stage with a wave as the interview comes to a close and the show ends*
