review 1: Sigh. Another one of my favorite characters bites it. More questions, no answers. What the heck is this Beast Titan? WHO is it? How can it talk? What is going on?! I need the next volumes and I don't have them. I know my reviews for this series are short, but I really can't add much other than reactions which is just going to be this the entire time: WTF JUST HAPPENED NOW? I feel like this is a series I'm going to have to read until the end, and then reread to make sense of it and see if the clues are their from the beginning.
review 2: While Eren is at rest from his intense fight with the female Titan, humanity's battle against the Titans never rests. As Armin and Hange's suspicions as to the origin of the walls and of the Titans increases with the newfound in... moreformation on the walls, urgent news has reached the interior that humanity's worst scenario has happened... Wall Rose has been breached! As the Survey Corps searches for the breach in the wall, two young women from the 104th Survey Corps could be hiding a devastating secret...OMAIGOD, OMGJORLESKF;SELL;SED THEY KILLED MIKE ZACHARIAS!! THE SNIFF, SNIFF GUUYY!! AAAGGHH, AND THERE IS A HAIRY APE-LIKE TITAN THAT CAN TALK WHO ALSO HINTS AT ALL TITANS ACTUALLY BEING HUMANS ORIGINALLY!! GYAAAAAAHHHH, WHAT, WHAT, WHAT!! AND, AND WE LEARN ABOUT SASHA'S REASON FOR GOING INTO THE 104th SURVEY CORPS, WHICH IS A VERY CHILDISH REASON, BUT STILL, IT'S SASHA'S REASON!! Ooohhh, and this has SUCH the dark air about it, I just love it, oh my gosh, and it's past humanity's last stand. It's their worst scenario, their worst nightmare. Titans have possibly broken through Wall Rose! And at first I thought Ymir was the one using the fake name, and the one that had held all of the secrets of the wall and blah, blah, blah, but then they go and say it's actually KRISTA LENZ! THE ANGEL OF THE SURVEY CORPS! That just made me so sad... (Even though I know now my suspicions were probably still correct, and Krista is most likely still innocent.) But Levi and Hange acted off when Mikasa mentioned Ymir's name. I think it's because of that notebook the two found back in volume 8 or 7? But the time in which they found it was actually years ago, I believe, but hey! Didn't the Titan refer to Ymir as his lady or god or something? YMIR, DAFUQ YOU UP TO, CHICK. BUUUUTTTT, IT TURNS OUT THE WALL IS NOT ACTUALLY BREACHED. ALSO, A TITAN THAT HAD CRUSHED CONNIE'S HOUSE RESEMBLED HIS MOTHER. SOOO WHAAAAT IS GOING ON?! WHY IS EVERYONE TURNING INTO TITANS AT ONCE?! THEY'VE HAD SOME SORT OF STRANGE PLAN FOR QUITE SOME TIME, HAVEN'T THEY? And at the very end, Ymir did something veeerry suspicious... She really slipped up..!!! AND WHY IS YMIR MISSING FROM THE BACK OF THE BOOK? THE ONLY OTHER CHARACTER THEY'VE TAKEN OFF WAS MARCO, AND THAT WAS WHEN HE HAD DIED. Or at least that's what I thought, then I realized Ymir was never in the top ten of the 104th training corp, and it was Annie that was missing. Eheh. Also, the cover to this volume is very misleading! Up until now, every single cover has been a sort of redrawing of a scene from that volume. BUT THERE WAS NO SUCH SCENE IN THIS VOLUME. Also, there wasn't very much of Eren and his main group in this volume, but it only felt strange after I had realized when I finished it. less
