review 1: SO GOOD. I really want to just sit down and read all 14 volumes, but I am trying to read these slowly so I can enjoy it longer. However, it is almost exactly like the anime, so the manga may be less enjoyable if you have seen the anime. Each volume ends on a really bad/good cliffhanger, making you want to immediately pick up the next one!Overall, this series is so much fun, and I would highly recommend it!
review 2: I wish vertical maneuvering were real. The way it's drawn looks so effortless, but the descriptions are far from. The author did an amazing job creating that system. ... moreve a high chance of dying, they go into their missions because it's the job, but when comrades die...well...they react as you'd expect them to. You pretty much can't get attached to any characters in this series it seems. I mean really. It's that brutal. Reminds me of Charlie Higson's The Enemy book and series. Devastating. less
