review 1: I picked this up on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! I don't normally enjoy family dramas, but this one kept me engrossed - I read it in three days. The grief and tension the characters were going through was palpable, but never mawkish, and the dialogue was delightful. As a Brit, I loved the natural flow of the dialogue with so many phrases that I recognised from family get togethers throughout my life. The author has a lovely way with words, evoking a real sense of place and conveying emotions easily with a light touch. This is anything but a gentle book - it has some startling moments and raw emotions - yet it also has a strong theme of redemption and forgiveness, and ends on a note of hope. Definitely worth a read.
review 2: This was a great book! Diffe
... morerent to what I usually read! This is full of mystery & suprises, it's definately a page turner as you just want to find out all the details! it was fun guessing what I thought happened to what did happen! I won't give any spoilers as there is too much not to give away, but I felt for this family who had been through so much, & how each person played a part in what happened. I really liked Dora also she was a strong & smart character! Loved it would definitely recommend! less

Good book, but should have been shorter. It dragged on to long and I skimmed the last two chapters.

Really good sucks you in but long and wordy. Sometimes repetitive with all the emotions.
