review 1: Well, what can I say! Totally enjoyed this one. Brilliant short story. I have tried Murakami before and have given up on him without finishing the books, but I am so glad I read this short story. I read it in one quick read and it was riveting to say the least. The fact that the story doesnt really have an ending only made it more beautiful for me!I loved the narration! It didnt matter at all that the content had no beginning or ending. I loved how quickly I wanted to get to the next sentence, and still I wasnt left hanging when it ended without really coming to a close! Brilliant writing!Reco it highly.
review 2: While I always know what to expect from a Murakami work, I end up questioning how much I know of his work. This one's a short little story but extrem
... moreely intriguing. The Lamprey almost seems like a metaphor for life. Latching on to breathe, waiting forever for the moment. And when the moment indeed arrives, the water colludes in a strange way and the expectations are shaken again to present a new set of moments. The conversation is more of a soliloquy and a enthralling one at that. Read on :) less

Really beautifully written. Dying to know the end of Schehazade's story though.
