review 1: Short review: Read this book. Now.Less-short review: Got this book for Christmas and couldn't wait to tear into it. Although you'll easily digest it in under an hour, it's a memorable, exciting and full-immersive time. Murakami's latest offering is a novella but the short length does nothing to diminish the power and scape of the story. The unusual layout and the charming illustrations serve to make this book an engrossing experience, unlike anything I can remember reading before. It's something akin to a graphic novel/novella hybrid and yet unlike anything of the sort. The presence of all these extra elements is to not say that Murakami's signature writing style has been compromised, in fact, he's never been better. The story dances across the page, with all the extraordi... morenarily eloquence, dark wit and mind-bending blend of the supernatural and the mundane that we've come to expect. A thrilling and thought-provoking read. So, as I said: read this book. Now.
Meravigliosa l'edizione illustrata Knopf. less

Beautiful illustration edition, pleasant enough to read, but didn't really have any substance.
