review 1: This one tried to further the character development by having the stories primarily about the characters interacting with one another. Unfortunately here, that means the stories are mostly about stupid characters I don't care about, consuming meals and talking about consumption and meals. If I wanted to deal with such an insensitively constant, daily fixation on meals, consumption, and bodies, I'd get to know more Americans. Not enjoyable at all. Can't recommend.
review 2: Having read and enjoyed the 1st Saturn Apartments so much I had to find out if the author had done more. I was disappointed to find that there were more Saturn Apartment books, but at the time they were only available in original Japanese or translated to French. But at least there was a date
... more for the English volume, and I watched and waited for its release. While book 1 established the job of the space station window cleaner and the associated cast of characters, book 2 gets deeper into their lives. There are elements of the work, new encounters with the customers, but there are the festivals where they live, the days off, the drinking sessions after a hard shift, and a mutual love of eggs, such a versatile food. Again, great characters, understated works that I just find a great pleasure to read. less

So cute, and really clearly drawn, for those who are just getting into manga.

This volume was, if possible, even better than the last volume.
