review 1: I did enjoy this book. I found the concept interesting. I did struggle with the man character Cassel as I found him shallow. I couldn't quite get a grip on his personality (other than he was always trying to be dishonourably honourable.) Lila was also an enigma. The brothers were horrible. I think my fave characters were Sam and Daneca though they're only in the background and i didn't mind grandad either. Anyway, I'm left at the end unsure whether I feel I want to start book two.
review 2: I thought that this book was okay. It was really boring and long until the end where something actually happened, which brought the book up from one star to two stars. Until the end of the middle, nothing really happens in the book that has anything related to what it says o
... moren the back, or what I had been told about the book. The only big twist of the book is that Cassel is the transformation worker and that his brothers were using him. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone unless they like really boring books. Overall, "White Cat" by Holly Black was a disappointment and not worth your time. less
