review 1: Another great book! This one is totally clean- safe to read for all ages, though it does deal with a girl who loses both parents in a car accident and it's how she makes sense of her world afterwards - interesting characters - all of them quirky and flawed, quick, easy writing/reading style - couldn't get enough of this book. Will have to check out Holly Goldberg Sloan's others!! Highly recommend.
review 2: Willow Chance is a sixth grade child genius, and as the story begins, newly orphaned. Although heartbroken, Willow will change the lives of those around her: her slacker counselor, a nail salon owner and her two teenage children, and a taxi driver who believes in angels. There is a lot of great symbolism in Counting by 7s, as well as a mix of heartache, ... morehumor, and healing. Definitely a must read. less
